What is PDF Spam?

We are all used to (more like completely annoyed or numb) typical spam email, Free iPhones, stock tips or vacations, etc. The Web is a paradise for spammers and unfortunately for many of us, we do not have the proper tools that we should have to combat these pesky, potential threats to our PC Security.

A new wave of spam is emerging involving the PDF or Portable Document Format spam. These are the same PDF files that you are use to receiving from reputable companies.

While the ever popular image spam, especially with spammers, appears to be on the decline, PDF spam is hot … for now. So what exactly is this annoying new spam creation? The email itself contains no information, but the attachment is a very large PDF file that can contain pages of professional looking advertisements for stock tips, iPhones, and so on.
