Blogging for Profits Using WordPress
Your Future of Building Profitable Websites Should Include WordPress Blogs
In addition to being a good communication tool, blogging is also a great way to make money. If you are new to blogging and want to get started quickly, there are several business models from which you can choose for maximum results in a short time. This article discusses the three most popular methods.
The first method is getting paid to write on your blog. Using this method, you create your blog and add a few good articles to it. Then you sign up with paid blogging networks like Pay Per Post or Review Me and see what opportunities are available. These networks are filled with advertisers looking for bloggers who they can pay to help them spread the word. Accept the opportunity, write about it on your blog and you get paid.
The second method is having AdSense ads on WordPress blogs. It requires a little more technical knowledge. You need to build a WordPress blog on a specific niche topic and start writing some good content on it. At the same time, try to get links from other blogs by leaving comments on their blogs, or by doing link exchanges with the blog owners. The objective is to get more traffic to your blog so the visitors will click on your AdSense ads and make you money.
The third and most sophisticated method is affiliate marketing with WordPress blogs. Again, you set-up a good WordPress blog, but with this model, the quantity of content you publish is not as important as the “selling quality” of the content. Each post you write must pre-sell the visitors and convince them to click on your affiliate links. When the visitor makes a purchase online after that, you get credited for the sale and earn commissions.
Ultimately, which model you choose depends on how much time and resources you can dedicate to creating and managing your blogs. Your best bet is to choose a low-investment option at first. When you get the hang of it, you can venture into other blogging models as well.

Hi,
I found your blog on google and read a few of your other posts. I just added you to my Google News Reader. Keep up the good work. Look forward to reading more from you in the future.
Thank you, that was a helpful post. I was actually just browsing the internet for some jobs and found your website. I’m distracted very easily. Must be why I don’t have a job. LOL! I’ll be sure to take a look through more of your website.
I found your site on Google… I like the content. I’ll be back to check out your updates.
WordPress v XSite Pro? What would you say is the best for building quality money making sites? Is there any other platform you would throw into the mix? I have been using WP up till now, but recently purchased XSite Pro. Still getting to grips with it at the monent, but it looks like a sturdy piece of software to me.
XSite Pro appears to be an offline website builder that uploads the files when you are done, while WordPress is an online site manager. I have not used XSite Pro but looking through their features it looks like a complete solution to building websites. It is not a blogging platform like WordPress where pages and posts are editing online, but I see that it has a scheduler to post the pages when you want them. Like WordPress, XSite Pro uses plugins for extending its capabilities.
After WordPress, the next most popular platform is Drupal. Many government agencies use Drupal to build and manage their websites. In stead of having different modules for discussion forums and group permissions, Drupal has them built in. It is also much tougher to learn than WordPress.
Choosing the platform you will use will depend on what you want to do with the website and how much time you are willing to invest in learning the software, versus putting it online and getting the content published.
